Participants will need to arrange their own transportation and lodging. We have booked a block of rooms at the Hotel UMass in the Campus Center, but there are many other hotels, inns, and guesthouses in the area.

Transportation

The closest airport to Amherst is Bradley International Airport, between Hartford, CT, and Springfield, MA. The Valley Transporter provides shuttle service between Bradley and Amherst. Bradley also has several car rental agencies. It is also possible to fly to Boston’s Logan International Airport, take the Silver Line shuttle to South Station, and then take a Peter Pan bus via Springfield to the UMass Amherst campus. Amtrak provides once-daily service to Northampton.

Lodging

UPDATE: Our block expired on March 23, but there may still be rooms available if you phone the hotel.
